Understanding Cuboid Weight Calculation
Formulas Used
Vcm³ = L × W × H (Volume in cubic centimeters)
Vm³ = Vcm³ ÷ 1,000,000 (Volume in cubic meters)
Weight = Vm³ × ρ (Weight in kilograms)
Common Material Densities
Wood: 400-800 kg/m³
Aluminum: 2,700 kg/m³
Steel: 7,850 kg/m³
Concrete: 2,400 kg/m³
Plastic (PVC): 1,400 kg/m³
Glass: 2,500 kg/m³
Copper: 8,960 kg/m³
Water: 1,000 kg/m³
Example Calculation
Given: Length = 50 cm, Width = 40 cm, Height = 30 cm, Density = 800 kg/m³
Solution:
Volume (cm³) = 50 × 40 × 30 = 60,000 cm³
Volume (m³) = 60,000 ÷ 1,000,000 = 0.06 m³
Weight = 0.06 × 800 = 48 kg
